I think so.
Why do you need a 19" LCD monitor? For this ...
* Some of the wallpapers are courtesy of a friend, thanks :D
And this, when you need to check out the latest trailers ...
Of course this also when work can wait ...

Life in the Single Lane
Friend: How's your love life?
Me: Err ... like a piece of white art paper patiently waiting for the right artist to create a masterpiece.
Friend: What do you mean?
Me: There is nobody at this moment of time la.
Friend: Ok ... but you should go and get a man quick.
Me: -.- Err what's the rush? I'm enjoying my life now.
Friend: Huh? What's so good being single? You cannot do couple stuff. Look at me, I'm so happy, so I want you to be happy also
Me: But I'm happy. Everybody has the right to choose their own lifestyles and for now I'm comfortable being single until the right dude shows up, hold my hand and run towards the sunset.
Friend: But ...
Me: What do you want me to do huh? Go out in the street and grab the nearest man and said "hey you look like my kinda of guy, are you gay or hitched? If not, should we give it a shot?". Duh!
Friend: Err ...
Me: Ya, shut up!
Why do some shallow people thinks that being single is miserable? How about family members, friends, career, faith and etc? Don't they matter anymore?
I've friends who keeps bugging me about finding a boyfriend or go after who and who (even when one of them look like a character in the 'Pirates of the Caribbean' and he's definitely no Orlando Bloom or Johnny Deep). You can have him, thank you very much!
Life is just not about finding your soul mate. Of course I'll love him dearly when he shows up but right now, my life in the single lane is really comfortable. Come, hop in and let me show you the 'scenery' ...
I can eat out/yum cha after work, weekends with friends who can really whack food, any kind of food. But of course, if the treat is on me, they will be standing in line ;P
If I need to watch a movie in a cinema, I've a buddy who is willing to be my movie date. And the best part is ... he paid for meals. Now, isn't he a sweetie :)
I go for holidays with my sister, cousins and friends when we need to de-stress from our daily routine. From shopping in Hong Kong to savoring Tom Yam in Bangkok, it's always a blasting time for us.
Shopping is fun when I have a bunch of cool friends who take my fashion sense seriously. After the retail therapy, we will sit down, yak and laugh. For hours. And scan the hunk (literally from head to toe) seated 3 feet away from our table. Who cares when the GF is besides him looking at her manicure or the BF is rubbing his thigh against him? He is still a feast for the eyes :D
I contribute my time to charity and voluntary work. The last one I did was to volunteered at the World Vision booth at the 'Family Showcase Exhibition'. What's more worthwhile than being able to give back to society in whatever means we can.
Spending quality time with my old folks is one way to keep them from 'pissing off with each other'. My dad love to express his opinions but unfortunately my mom will not tolerate his yakking so he turns to me. He talks about everything under the sky, from political chaos in the country (i.e. analysis who is the '無間道' in the someone's behind got screwed drama) to how Tony Leung & Carina Lau chose Bhutan for their wedding ceremony or why Beethoven wrote Symphony 9 (my dad plays Chinese classical music) or criticize some young chap trying to mimic Jay Chou in a singing competition (oh yes, I inherited the criticism DNA from him). My pop is a funny old man who talks too much sometimes.
Blogging keeps my time occupied. To capture the right shot or search for the appropriate picture and to come up with an entry is really no easy task. When the inspiration is not there ... you just can't seem to write anything. Sometimes I can take weeks to complete an entry before posting it up.
Thanks to site like Facebook, I found my high school friends and we rekindle our friendship after all these years. I also get to meet some awesome friends in Facebook and stumbled on some weird names (what kind of name is Tissuepaper Lam? No, she is not yet my friend).
When I don't feel like going out and join the crowds, I spend my weekends catching up on my sleep, watch DVDs or finish a book. Relaxing and comfortable.
To all my single friends out there, if you have someone telling you that your life sucks because you are not somebody's other half, just tell them to get that empty head of theirs examine and get a life before it's too late!
To love, as if you have never been hurt before;
To sing, as if nobody is listening;
To dance, as if nobody is noticing;
To live, as if today is the final day on earth

Facebook New Look
Facebook will be launching a new look. Here is a preview of the new design. It emphasis more on friends and actions and downplays the applications.
Basically now you can't see the 500 applications you added to your profile page. It has now all grouped together and you need to select the specific ones just to view them (is that a good or bad thing?).
Let me know what you think after viewing your page.

Cinema, cinema, cinema
I was watching 'Hancock' last week at GSC Mid Valley and when all the lights are dimmed, this funny couple who was seated few rows in front of me started to take pictures of themselves using a mobile phone! Are they trying to show off that their mobile phone can take pic in pitch darkness? How duh is that?
Anyway, I'm sure we all had our share of bad experiences in the cinema. Here are some which really get on my nerves ...
They are the 'show-off'. They announced to the whole world that they are a busy busy man and yet can allocate 2 hours to watch a movie. But mind you, they are really busy so they need to answer to that phone call immediately and shout on top of their lungs when Angelina Jolie is running on top of a moving train! Can I shove the phone down his throat, no?
They are the 'narrator' from the start to the end of the movie. What is more annoying than having someone seated behind you keep on explaining about the scene which took place? "Oh did you see that?" No, moron, I paid RM12 to look at the ceiling!
But when you think the 'narrator' behind is hell sent, that's when you realize horror just strike because their cousin, namely the 'spoiler' is seated next to you! It is so obvious that this is the 2nd time they are watching the movie and simply can't wait to pour out the storyline 2 seconds before each scene! Now ... tell me, if you don't want to kick his ass ... I'll tabik (salute) you :(
They are the 'striker'. They will 'extend' their leg until it touches your seat and ... they will start kicking the back of your chair. I don't have a back problem so I don't need a 'human massage chair'. Can I just grab their drink and pour on top of their brainless head!
They are the 'loving parents' who spend quality time with their kids. By bringing them to cinema and in return, these rascals terrorist us by kicking our seat, jump from mommy's lap to daddy's chest and asking every second "Daddy daddy, why the panda cannot jump ah?" or "Mommy mommy, I want popcorn I want popcorn?" Excuse me, can you just shut your kids up ah?
They are the 'cinema-make-out-couple'. There was one time when I was seated 2 chairs away from this couple and half way through the movie, the fella's head is on the lap of his girlfriend! His head is back to the original position after couple of minutes and then back again to the 'comfort zone'. Maybe next time, I'll use my mobile torchlight on their faces with this statement: "Encik tunjuk MyKad" (Mr, produce your identity card).
They are the 'talking cow' (never my intention to insult a cow here). They will crunch their popcorns and yak at the same time throughout the movie! Hey jerk, this is a cinema not kopitiam la!
They are the 'debater' because they need to debate 500 years before deciding between a cola and milkshake. I know there are no cure for stupidity (you have my pity here) but come on la, I just need to buy a bottle of mineral water.
At this age of time, I still can't believe there are so many idiots out there who thinks that the cinema belongs to their grandfather!
I just want to enjoy the movie in peace. Is that so difficult?

Sony Ericsson C905 Preview
Ok ... I know that one of my resolutions this year is not to change my mobile phone before 31 Dec 2008. But that doesn't mean I cannot check out what's the latest in the market rite?
Anyway, found this model interesting and it's expected to be out by Q4 2008.
The Sony Ericsson will be going a step forward towards the next generation by announcing the C905 Cyber-shot 8.1 megapixel camera phone with Xenon flash. Now you can take a clear candid shot anywhere, anytime. Plus you can take 7 pictures in quick succession with one press at the button when you activate BestPic™ (I think I'll chuck the Olympus 760 to my dad and me, upgrade to a DSLR soon).
C905 is the first slider from the Cyber-shot series and the first non-smartphone equipped with WiFi. With the DLNA support (e.g. you can view wirelessly the pictures from the phone on the TV), this model is also equipped with a built-in aGPS (Google Maps™ and Wayfinder) to guide you to your destination (this is useful for those who has absolutely no sense of direction).
It's available in 3 colors, Night Black, Ice Silver and Copper Gold. With 136 g in weight and 4.1 x 1.9 x 0.7 inches in size, it's not exactly a super model phone (but it suits me fine).
You can check out the full specs here as I won't go into details.
I've googled on the first hand review and it looks like an interesting next purchase ;P
So ... should I aim for this one, no?
