Tribute to Ms Lydia Shum

Lydia Shum (沈殿霞) or "Fei Fei" (肥肥) passed away at 8.38 a.m. on 19 February 2008 at Queen Mary Hospital, Hong Kong due to complications from liver cancer. She was 63 years old.

I'll forever remember her as the bubbly and talented artist who brought so much laughter to me whenever I watch her show. She proves that you don't need to be a size 0 to be successful, especially in the entertainment industry. It's such a great loss to the Chinese entertainment scene because there is no replacement for such a legendary artist.

Rest In Peace, 肥姐 (Lydia).

Amazing Race Asia: Season 2

I had a dream.
Sleeping
I dreamt of participating in the Amazing Race Asia yesterday nite! I was running up and down with a heavy backpack! Further details ... can't recall!

Personally I think the Asian version is so much better than the American ones. It's more interesting, challenging and you get to see so many interesting places around Asia. The Race is getting more intense every week with less teams competing against each other. Here's a list of my choices ...

Marc & Rovilson - My Favorite Team
Spray I Love You
These Philippines boys are so funny and cool. I especially Marc because he's so dashing! They'll face every obstacles with a positive attitude. That's the way it should be. They have been in the top spot since 2nd episode until the Singaporean guys caught up with them and took their place. We shall see how they perform in the rest of the race! Nail it guys!

Adrian & Collin - Most Likely to Win
Barbell
This Singaporean duo is so good at their strategies and from the look @ it, they are most likely to win the race for this season. They are very calm in dealing with all the tasks and fully utilize the resources available to reach the pit-stop! What I admire them most is that Adrian has a hearing disability and have to rely on sign language to communicate with Collin and yet they completed each task brilliantly (unlike some of the teams!). Bravo boys!

Pamela & Vanessa - My Hope to be in Top 3
You Go Girl
Because a M'sian women team won the Season 1 title, I have high hope that the 2nd Season will also have the same result. Thus, I really hope that Pamela & Vanessa can make it to Top 3. They had a good start in the 1st episode where they got to the top spot and what they need is a good strategy and planning @ every task and not look so blur. Go girls ... you can do it!

Paula & Natasha - The Pretty Girls
Girls Rule
I wish they can beat the desperate housewives. They will not get eliminated if they have not team up with Henry & Terri :( But I like them not because they are blessed with good looks (especially Paula) but they will not scream and shout @ each other like a bunch of bitches! But, I wonder why they don't have any Thai name? Hmm ...

Ann & Diane - The Desperate Housewives
Big Hug
Here's the real desperate housewives who could run, swim, climb and do whatever task on the Race despite their age! I admire them for their effort but I also glad they got yielded by Marc & Rovilson in the recent episode! Sorry, can't help it :)

Sawaka & Daichi - The First Timer
Cheer Up
It's actually a shame they got eliminated so soon. The problem with them is they always chose the wrong task to perform and they are not as cunning as some of the teams.

Brett & Kinaryosih - The Cute Couple
I Wove You
They are a cute Indonesian couple but to enter in the Race, they are still not up to the task. They don't have a proper strategy and planning.

Henry & Terri - The Most Annoying Couple
No
These couple from Philippines really annoys me to the bits! Especially Terri who keeps shouting @ poor Henry who was always trying to do his best in the Race. But I'm surprised to see them surviving for so many episodes. The most memorable scene with these duo is Henry broke down in tears in one of the interviews! I guess tough guys do cry ...

Aurelia & Sophie - The Dumbest Team
Blah
They have absolutely no bond @ all during the whole race. And I wonder why the producer chose them in the first place? Not only they don't have the brains, they also don't have the looks! Tsk tsk tsk ...

Monica & Edwin - The 'Think-Too-Highly-of-Themselves' Couple
No
I can't stand the Edwin fella. During some of the interviews, he's very arrogant and think he can beat the other teams. Based on what? His accent? He doesn't communicate well with his girlfriend and only know blame her if the task goes wrong! I'm glad these Hongkie team is the 1st who got eliminated!

So which is your favorite team? Or you can sign up for Season 3 and be part of the Race.
